Festive Craft

Decorated Easter Eggs
Easter is not Easter without a few painted eggs and this year is no exception.  I went the extra mile with these ones adding 3D paint, découpage, bows, and finally glitter sealant. I think they'll look pretty as a centrepiece on any table or sideboard.

Easter Bags
These cute little bags are made from felt so they're baby soft.  They're hand-stitched and are just perfect for collecting Easter Bunny's eggs on Easter Sunday.

Christmas Decorations
There's nothing like a festive centrepiece to brighten up any table or sideboard during Christmas and New Year and I decided to try a mix of styles for my creations this year - below are pictures of both traditional and modern decorations  They are all easy to make once you have the right stuff.

Here's what you need:
1. A plate or tray.  Mine are plastic and I picked them in a euro store.
2. A candle/candles - I used a church candles but you could use a larger 'fat' candle or some tealights depending on what kind of look you want.
3. Ribbon
4. Pine Cones
5. Berries/twigs - I cut these from cheap Christmas decorations that I found in a euro store
6. 'snow' from the craft shop
7. Tinsel
8. White paint/gold paint/gold spray paint with glitter
9. Glue
10. Twine
11. Iridescent scatter - this is the shiny stuff on the silver centre piece which is used for decorating your table for dinner parties.

I used all of these items between all four centrepieces but you can use whatever you like. Perhaps a snow scene with little characters or some different colour schemes.  Just plan out your design first, then carefully glue on the various pieces.  Leave to dry overnight before adding the finishing touches the next day. Et voila!

Autumnal Centre Piece

I wanted to make something festive for the table for Halloween.  This Autumnal decoration is just perfect as a table centre piece or on a sideboard or hall table.  It's simple and fun to create too and the kids can help collecting the pine cones and Autumn leaves.

It's difficult to capture how nice this looks on a camera so I've taken a few shots with and without flash.  Hope you like it!

I have to say, I love them.  These are from the first batch which I have done for a friend so I'm saying goodbye to them tomorrow but I'll have some others ready in the coming days that I will post.
